All ingredients
  • 2 tins 1/10 (160 g) la belle-iloise flaked mackerel with grains of paradise
  • 120 g cream cheese
  • 6 slices soft wholewheat bread
  • 1 kiwi
Let's get started


  1. Lightly toast the slices of bread and then flatten them immediately with a rolling pin.
  2. Peel the kiwi and cut lengthwise into 12 sections.
  3. When they have cooled, spread the slices of bread with the cream cheese.
  4. Drain the oil and distribute the contents of the tins along the edges of the slices of bread.
  5. Place 2 pieces of kiwi on each slice.
  6. Tightly roll up each slice of bread and secure with a toothpick.
  7. Serve with a green salad.
  • You can replace the kiwi with peach or mango.
  • Decorate the cigars with thin strips of carrot to imitate the paper band.
  • For miniature appetisers, cut each cigar into 3 or 4 and secure with a toothpick.
