Food needs to be packaged to be preserved. And even though the food industry is tending to eliminate over-packaging, and recycling performance is improving, this requirement still has a negative impact on the planet and society. Whether we like it or not.

At la belle-iloise, we're convinced that our food choices contribute to a more sustainable world. This means choosing the right products, and the right containers.

In 1932, we chose metal cans to preserve the goodness of our products. And almost 90 years later, that's still the case.

Metal cans are one of the few containers that can be recycled ad infinitum. While retaining its original properties. It can be sorted in the yellow garbage can, and doesn't need to be washed first. Quite practical, too.

Every year, the recyclability of metal cans and the improvements made to their production prevent 381,000 tonnes of CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere.

We don't need a refrigerated truck to transport our products from our logistics workshop to our direct sales outlets. Nor do we need a refrigerator when we get home. Just a cupboard or pantry.

Here in Quiberon, we live by the rhythm of the seasons. Sardines, tuna and mackerel are processed, mi
