Its exceptional freshness and tender flesh are the result of our artisanal expertise and meticulous care. We receive the fresh tuna and process them by hand, keeping the best of the loins. The slices are then placed in tins and covered with a little water and salt, before being cooked in the sterilisation process. In this way, our plain canned tuna keeps all its nutritional qualities and has a delicate, melt-in-the-mouth texture.

Rich in protein, selenium and vitamins, this superb fish is popular with kids and grown-ups alike. Germon tuna is the least threatened of the various species consumed worldwide. At la belle-iloise, our tuna is always caught when it is mature, in season, and without FADs. We prefer to fish with rods or lines because these are more responsible, sustainable fishing methods that are more respectful of the environment.
