Learn moreIn this authentic recipe, our white albacore tuna (*) is simply enhanced by our fruity extra virgin olive oil, for a tender, flavoursome result with an incomparable melt-in-the-mouth texture.
The fruit of our traditional know-how and delicate attention to detail, the tuna is received and cooked whole in a court-bouillon, then trimmed by hand, preserving the best of the loin. The slices are then coated with olive oil and a little salt, before being marinated.
In this way, our albacore tuna preserves all its nutritional qualities until the can is opened: rich in complete proteins, selenium and a source of phosphorus and vitamins D, B3 and B12, this lean fish is full of goodness and appeals to young and old alike!
Quick and easy to prepare, simple to cook, a tin of tuna in oil is an everyday ally offering an infinite range of possibilities. In a salad, pasta, quiche or tart, it's the practical ingredient for a whole host of recipes, cold or hot, main courses or starters...
(*) White albacore tuna is the least endangered of the various species consumed around the world. At la belle-iloise, our tuna is always caught without FADs (Fish Aggregating Devices), when it is mature and in season. We prefer pole and line fishing, as these are sustainable fishing methods that are more responsible and more respectful of the environment.
